Santa was Here

Well...my first Christmas has come and what a fun time I have had. On Christmas Eve Mom and Dad took me to a Christmas Eve Service. I was a big girl and sat through the whole thing. When Santa came the next morning, I was very impressed by the wonderful box he left for me. The green dress was my cousin Anna's dress when she was my age and I loved wearing it today! (Thank you Anna.) Tomorrow morning we are getting on an airplane and heading to Nashville for "Round Two". I can't wait to spend time with my mop and pop, aunts, uncles and cousins. Will write soon....

Christmas....Round 1

Papa G and Grandma G came to visit us on Wednesday. We went to church for our candlelight service. Thursday night we celebrated Christmas. As you can tell, I love opening presents!!! We had SO much fun. Paper and boxes are my favorite!!! Today, we went to Bass Pro Shop and had my picture made with Santa-I wasn't scared of him but I sure didn' t smile while I sat on his lap. We continue to enjoy Papa G and Grandma G for the next few days. I am looking forward to our trip to Nashville soon. Merry Christmas.

"All Dressed Up"

Daddy had his Christmas concert last night. It was GREAT!! Of course, Mommy just had to dress me up. I was super cute in my "Santa" outfit. This picture just doesn't do it justice, however, I am sure I will wear it again this holiday season so maybe Mommy can get a better picture then. I am doing good. "Growing like a weed" Mommy says. She had class today and Daddy had the day off so we had a wonderful day together. I just love "Addie/Daddy" time. Have a great week!!

"My First Thanksgiving AND My first Snow"

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Papa G and Grandma G came from Minnesota to spend the holiday with us. As you can see, I got NO attention from them :) Mommy made me wear a "My first Thanksgiving" shirt on Thursday-Daddy thought I looked like a boy but Mommy thought I was as cute as ever!!! Then, we woke up on Sunday morning and had a little snow on the ground so again I had to have my picture taken. Thanks to Emmy and Anna I have a very cute hat to wear when it is so cold outside. I am doing good-sitting up so good now. Mommy has her Christmas trees up and I keep looking at them trying to figure out how to get over to them. I think I will have a plan very soon......... "Impressing Mommy"

Sorry it has been a while.......we have been busy. Last week was Mommy's birthday so Daddy took her on a date. Can you believe they left me with a babysitter??? I was stunned. They just forget how fun I can be. I am doing great. I am impressing Mommy with my new "tricks" everyday. I now sit in the cart when we shop and can sit in a high chair when Mommy and Daddy go out to eat. Mommy is really liking this because she says I was getting pretty heavy in that car seat! I am looking forward to a visit from Papa G and Grandma G this week. I am excited to see them and show them all my new tricks. Hope all is well with you. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!

Sittin' and Stylin'

This week I started sitting up some on my own. I only do it for a couple of minutes before I tumble over.....but, boy is it fun! This is my new outfit Mommy bought me. Isn't it the cutest?

"My Half Birthday"

Hi my blogging friends!! Well, Sunday was officially my "half birthday" I turned six months old. Mommy and Daddy keep talking about how time flies. I went to the doctor yesterday. I weighed in at 15 lbs 4 oz and 25 inches long. The doctor says I am doing great. Then.......that mean nurse came in again and after telling me how cute I was she gave me FIVE shots. WHAT IN THE WORLD!!???!! Last week was a big week for me. I cut my first tooth one day and started on my second one the next day. So, between teething and my shots, Mommy says I have been pretty fussy, but I am trying to be a good girl. Last night, I started eating fruits-- FINALLY. They were wonderful. I had pears and can't wait for more tonight. Mommy took me to vote today and we had to wait in line for over an hour but it is a nice day out so I didn't mind too much. Happy Halloween

We carved our pumpkin this morning. It is a beautiful day here in MO. We are having wonderful weather. We have no big plans for today.......just letting Addie dress up in her pumpkin outfit and give out candy. So, if any of you are in the area.....come on by!!!!

"Our Little Pumpkin"

We had a carnival at church yesterday afternoon. It was cool and extremely windy, so I am not convinced Addie had a great time. However, she did look super cute in her pumpkin outfit.

Eating and Lovin' It

Addie has officially had all 5 veggies: sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, green beans, and peas. She likes them all so much we can't tell which is her favorite yet. She also LOVES oatmeal! We are doing great. I just had a ladies retreat overnight Friday night with our church, so her and Daddy were on their own. They had a wonderful time. Don't ask me what they did. Dave's rule is "What happens when Daddy keeps you, stays with you and Daddy!" As long as she has no bruises or cuts, I guess I am ok with that........

Ben is Married!!!!!!

We had a wonderful trip to Nashville. Ben and Megan were married at sunset on Saturday night. They had a beautiful ceremony and are now enjoying their honeymoon in Cancun. It was great to see all of our family. What a celebration we had!! Addie made the trip well. I think she has decided she really likes to fly. She was such a good girl. She has now made it through all 3 of the orange veggies and will get to start the green ones soon. She has loved everything so far. Hope you all have a great week. We love you!!!

A quick trip to Minnesota

Well, last week started off pretty sad. Dave's parents were here last weekend and had to leave early because Grandma Helin (Corine's mom) was not doing well after a recent broken hip and surgery. She passed away on Monday. We left for Minnesota on Wednesday and returned on Saturday. We enjoyed seeing the family, despite the circumstances. We were glad to be able to go and support Grandma G. Dave officiated part of the funeral. He did such a wonderful job. It was such a celebration of her life.!
On a lighter note..... Addie has discovered her feet and she LOVES them (as you can tell from the pic) Tomorrow is another big day for her-she gets to try her first orange veggie.....so what is your vote??? squash, sweet potatoes, or carrots first??
We have another busy week this week. Addie and I fly to Nashville on Tuesday and Dave will join us there on Thursday. My brother, Ben, is getting married! We couldn't be more excited for him. Well, that catches you up on the Grimm family. Have a great week!

some snapshots....

Well, we don't have any news for you, but thought we would just put some snapshots up for the week. Addie is doing great! We are looking forward to a visit from Dave's parents tomorrow for the weekend. Then, we will be on the countdown to Ben's wedding. We fly to Tennessee the end of the month. "Rice Cereal-What a delicacy!"

Well, we have hit another milestone. Addison has decided rice cereal is not so bad. As you can see, she cries if we don't feed her fast enough. Our little girl is growing up........how exciting!!!

OK! OK! Sorry for the delay but being 4 months old is a VERY busy job. I don't think you people understand!!! I went to the doctor yesterday. I tipped the scale at 12 lbs 11oz. Dr. Beck described me as "perfect." Now to celebrate my arrival to perfection, she gave me 4 shots!!! What a world--whatever happened to ice cream for celebrations?? I do, now that I am older, get to try some rice cereal. I had my first of that last night and let me say I am not that impressed. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

A field trip to the Museum

Friday, Daddy and Mommy thought I needed some "culture." So, they took me to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. I had a good time. I love hanging out with Mommy and Daddy. Sorry the top picture is so dark, but Daddy just had to make my picture by the Van Gogh painting. Just to let all my "fans" know I am now a big girl because Saturday I rolled over for the first time!!

"Growing Like A Weed"

As you can see, I am getting to be such a big girl!!! Somebody gave my Mommy a snow suit for me and, as you can see, she couldn't wait to get me in it. I know I am cute, but really??? I am adjusting to Mommy going back to work and am LOVING Addie/Daddy time. We do lots of fun things!! Just wanted to say "Hi" to all my "blogging fans" and have a great week!
