A VERY BUSY COUPLE OF MONTHS..........

Our little pumpkin turned 2 on May 2. We had a small party at her favorite park here in town and invited a few of her friends she plays with on a regular basis. We had such a fun time. We had cake, ice cream, a pinata, and of course lots of laughs. She got lots of presents (which she loved). She is still talking about her birthday. It was a fun day for all of us. Here are a few pictures:

We have been super busy. David's dad started having serious complications with his cancer that had spread to his spine in early March. Dave went and spent the week with them while Addie and I were in Nashville seeing my side of the family. After being in the hospital/nursing home with hospice for a little over a week, Galen went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 4th, 2010. Easter will now have a deeper meaning for all of us in the future. Thanks to everyone for your prayers, cards, calls and concern for us. He is greatly missed, but we feel very blessed because our life was better for knowing, loving and being loved by him.

.As so life does go on........We are starting to get back into the swing of things. We are both back to work. Addie has few more weeks of Kindermusik before the summer break. When I am off, we are spending lots of time outside. We have zoo passes this year so we go to the zoo frequently. Her favorite animal is Vincent, the sea lion. She also loves feeding the deer and the fish. We take lots of trips on the train, tram, and carousel. My parents are coming the week before Memorial Day to spend some time with us and we are meeting my entire family in St. Louis for Memorial Day weekend. Corine is coming for a visit in mid-June so we are looking forward to that.

OK.....so I know it has been a long time since I updated our blog and after some requests....here we go...hold on there are several pictures..........

Here she is on Valentine's Day......Daddy took his "girls" to Outback for dinner. As Addie would say "Yummy, Yummy in my tummy, tummy"

We have been super busy (like all of you, I am sure). Addie is growing too fast, running, and talking up a storm. What joy she brings to our life!! Dave's dad is getting some more radiation treatments so he is headed north to spend the week with them. He is leaving Sunday after church and will be home Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, Addie and I are headed south to see my parents and family in Tennessee and Mississippi. We leave Wednesday and come home the next Tuesday.

So, pray for us as we pray for all of you.............and yes, i am going to try to do better blogging, I promise.
