Addie's first picnic

Addie went to her first picnic tonight with our church family. She met a lot of new people and enjoyed her afternoon at the park.

We had a wonderful weekend with Uncle Quess, NeNe, and Jasper. Jasper didn't know what to think about his Mommy holding a baby!!! We are so glad they came to see us.

On our own

We had a wonderful weekend. Pop (Benny) and Emmy (Emily) flew in on Saturday and spent the weekend with us. The only thing missing was a little girl named Anna that is EXTREMELY excited to meet her new cousin. Daddy said he came to meet Addison but considering Mama had been here for almost three weeks I accused him of flying in just to pick her up and take her back home:) Addie loved meeting them. Today after we got home from the airport, I looked at Addie and she looked at me like "What now?" In my head I was like "Don't ask me!" but we survived. We are looking forward to a visit from Uncle Quess, NeNe and Jasper this weekend!!!

A Good Report

This morning Addie had her two week check up with Dr. Beck. She is back up to her birth weight and doing great. Mama B has been a huge help for us as we get settled into our new life with Addison. This weekend Benny and Emily will be visiting. Addison will be so spoiled!

My first time at church

Mommy was ready to go to church. I, Marla, had not been to church since Easter because of work then bed rest. So, Saturday night we decided to venture to church. Isn't Addison adorable in the dress Mama B bought her? Her daddy was so proud to have us in church. She, of course. was a perfect little angel!!

Just-a-swingin'

Addison is receiving her first musical instruction from her daddy. She loved it!! Will she be the next Mozart?
This is Addison's first ride in her swing. As you can see, it rocked her right to sleep. Will she be the next Duke Ellington?

"My heart is OK!"

Addison went to the pediatric cardiologist this morning. We received an excellent report from the doctor. She does have a heart murmur but it is what the doctor called an "innocent murmur." He says we have a healthy baby girl. As you can imagine, her parents were very excited to hear this news.

My first outing

Dave is showing off his New Dad T-shirt. He is such a proud daddy. He wore it to choir practice tonight. Addison is starting to love to interact some. I (Marla) personally think that she likes playing with her Mommy the best!!!! We took her to the doctor today for a check-up. On the way, we stopped by the church so she could meet all of Daddy's friends at work. They, of course, all thought she was adorable. She made an A+ at her doctor's appointment. The doctor said we have a healthy baby girl. We were excited to hear that. Please keep us in your prayers tomorrow. We go see a pediatric cardiologist for her heart murmur. Satisfied at Home

As you can see, Addison is very content at her new home. We are all glad to be home. She is LOVING her bouncy seat. We are working hard at settling in to a routine. Mommy and Daddy are both very excited to have her home and very thankful that her Mama B is here to help!!!

We are Home

This morning (May 5) the pediatrician gave us a very positive report on Addison. She is doing well and has been able to maintain her blood sugar levels. We were discharged around 3:30 this afternoon and we are loving our new family member. Grandma and Grandpa Grimm headed back home this morning. Mama B is staying to help us get settled into our new routine. Thank you for your prayers when Addison was in the NICU. She is truly our miracle baby and we are smitten with her.

A Sunday Afternoon with Addison

Mom is doing great. Marla has been up, walking around, and regularly feeding Addison. Daddy is doing well too.

The Pediatrician saw Addison today and told us that he was optimistic about her progress. Addison is currently off of her IV fluids

An Addison Update

This morning (Saturday) Addison was moved to the NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit. The Doctor moved her to the ICU so that they can stablize her blood sugar levels. Please keep us in your prayers and we will update you soon.

"Look who came to see me..."

Mama B flew in from Nashville Wednesday. Grandma and Grandpa Grimm drove in from Minnesota yesterday.

At the Hospital

We spent the night at the hospital. Marla is being induced today so we will be holding Addison by this evening. More pics to come later...
