Addie all ready for "meet the teacher" night at preschool.

ok...for starters, I know it has been a while, so no need for reminders on that. We have been very busy since my last post. We now have a 6 month old and a preschooler at our house! Life is wonderful, busy but wonderful!!! We have had a very hot summer here but have done lots of fun things in spite of the heat. In July, David and I were both off for a week (including a Sunday) so we did a "stay-cation" and did things around the city. We had a blast-so so much fun! Then, the beginning of August, the kiddos and I headed to Nashville for about 6 days. We had a fun time seeing everyone. Now, here it is September and Addie starts preschool on Tuesday. It is bittersweet for me.....I LOVE seeing her grow and mature and at the same time I HATE seeing her grow-up. She will be going 3 mornings a week for 2 1/2 hours. So, that will give her some time with her new friends and me and Josiah some time to hang out.....and I REALLY plan on cleaning some of those days. You know, do some things that are easier without me little "helper."

maybe next time it won't be so long before another post.............maybe it will..........who knows???

Mothers Day..........3 new post in one day.....don't miss any!!

I had a great Mother's Day. We had baby dedication at church. So, we dedicated Josiah. It is a sweet moment for us as parents to recognize that all children are a gift from God. It gives us, as parents, a chance to tell our church that we will do our best to pass on our faith to our children. The church, in turn, promises to support us as parents. Was a special moment for us because David and I do believe that both of our children are gifts from God. We feel blessed to be their Mommy and Daddy. We take our jobs as parents very seriously. It was so neat that it was on Mother's Day too!

David and the kiddos got me this necklace. The picture does not do it justice. It is gorgeous. It has both their names and their birthstones on it. LOVE IT!! He also got me a pair of shoes that I had been wanting but wouldn't buy for myself. You know it is true love when he buys you shoes, even when he complains you already have too many:-)

After nap, we went to have dinner with GG. We had a great night. Got Outback take-out so neither one of us had to cook. We are so glad to have GG close to us. What a blessing she is to us.

In Ripley, Addie had a birthday party with all her cousins, aunts, uncles, and some great aunts and uncles too! Emmy made her a Blue's Clues cake and as you can see--it was a hit!!! Jasper is looking like hurry up and take the picture so I can dig in!!

We had a great trip. Flying with 2 babies wasn't as bad as I had thought it might be. Addie was a huge help and Josiah slept the whole time (which made him a huge help too). We had lots of fun, got to see lots of people. It, of course like always, was just over too fast!!

We had a great Easter here-from eggs to a great church service. On Saturday before Easter, the kids and I went with some friends to a helicopter Easter egg drop. Very cool!! The kids move, the helicopter flies into the field and drops all the eggs!! I loved it as much as Addison did. Fun times!! We made eggs here-real and plastic and had several Easter egg hunts in the house during the week. Lots of fun!

We were so proud of Daddy and all his hard work for our Easter service. God was truly glorified. Was awesome to celebrate His resurrection with 4000 other people!

Busy, Busy

We have been busy with life in the Grimm house......you know changing diapers, feeding every 3-4 hours, chasing after a 3 year old......all of those great things!! We are loving life. We are gearing up for a busy next couple of weeks. For Easter, our church has rented the Independence Events Center to celebrate our Risen Savior. How exciting. We are hoping to pack the 5.000 seats. In turn, that means Daddy has a very busy week at work. Then next Wednesday the 27th, the kids and I are flying (yes, i am flying with 2 kids by myself) to my parents to spend the week. We will spend some of the time with my parents and Ben and Meg and some of the time in Mississippi with my sisters and some of my extended family. While we are gone, Daddy and GG are headed to spend some time with some family in Illinois. Dave's Great Aunt is turning 100 years old!! They are going to celebrate with her.

Well that is the scoop on the Grimms.

growing....growing.......

Josiah has been having some "tummy" issues so we went to the pediatrician on Monday. She is now treating him for acid reflux. We are giving him some medicine for it and hoping it will start working soon-she said it could take 2 weeks-1 month til we see a big improvement. So, while we were there, of course, they weighed him. He is up to 9 lbs 1 oz!!!

Otherwise, we are all doing great. Dave is busy work gearing up for Easter and I am busy at home taking care of my 2 wonderful babies.

We have to throw out a HUGE thank you to BB for coming and staying almost three weeks with us. She was so much help. It was sad for me to see her leave, but know it was time. She did such an excellent job of taking care of Addie, Josiah and me. I am so thankful for her sacrifice to come help us! I miss her so much!!

Emmy, of course, is an ol' pro at babies. She spoils my babies rotten and we LOVE it!!

Josiah is doing great! Eating well and growing really fast. Seems like he changes every day, and I am sure he does.

We are looking forward to some company this weekend. Pop, Uncle Mark, Emmy, Anna, and Micah are coming to spend the weekend with us and we couldn't be more excited. The down side is we think Pop is gonna try to take BB with him with he leaves. We are prepared to fight to keep her:-)

We enjoyed a visit from GG today. We are so glad she is close enough for her to visit us often. What a blessing!

Settling in at home

We are so glad to be home! We have started to settle into our routine. It is quite the change going from 1 to 2. I know all you out there with more than 2 just laughed out loud, but that's ok!!

Addie is being such a good big sister. She is adjusting well. Almost every time she looks at Josiah, she says in the sweetest voice "He is so cute!"

We had our 1 week check-up today and the doctor says we have a healthy baby! After the week we have had......that is such a relief to hear.

GOD IS GOOD!!!!!

Josiah is back up to his birth weight. We are so glad. He is eating good. We are glad to still have BB here to help! We will be sad when she leaves.

Reunited and it feels so good!!!!!

We all got to come home yesterday. Felt SO good to sleep in my own bed last night. We are all doing great. Addie is such a good big sister. Mommy has quite the helper! Josiah is doing great.

Again thank all of you for all the prayers you gave us since Friday. We have felt them and we know they were all answered. If we haven't responded to your phone call, email, text, or facebook message it is not because we don't appreciate your concern. Life has been pretty busy and I am sure will continue to be so for a while yet!

DRUMROLL PLEASE............

Addison got to meet her little brother today!! What a exciting day for them. As you can see, she was pretty smitten with him. She is very excited to get him home-mostly because that is when her mommy is coming home too! She got to feed him a bottle, so that was really fun to her.

As you can see, I think she will keep him .....for now anyway!

Josiah is now in our room. We have had such a good day holding him whenever we want with no tubes or wires to worry about. Daddy went to work, GG kept Addie and BB spent the day with Mommy and Josiah.

The plan is to get to go home tomorrow!!!
